The piece begins its life as a live performance that is witnessed by an audience present on the opening night. The space is then left to evolve throughout the exhibition period as it’s contents (milk, salt, blood etc) begin to corrode and take on new forms, smells and colours. Filmed documentation of the initial performance will be relayed on screens in the space, further enforcing the theme of preservation and memory. Segments of the transformed floor can then be purchased at the end of the exhibition period.
